Supercapacitors

Supercapacitors are novel energy storage devices with distinct characteristics such as high-power density and long life cycle. They have various advantages over batteries, including reduced weight, unlimited charge/discharge cycles, and wider temperature range. The main issue is the supercapacitors' low energy density in comparison to batteries. To improve supercapacitor performance, the electrode's conductivity and charge storage capacity must be increased. We are working on a method that allows us to achieve these goals by synthesizing nanoparticles with unique properties and layer-by-layer building the electrode.
